Studio Gallery Now Open for the 2024/2025 Season!

Pumphouse Studio Gallery is open for the new 2024/2025 season by appointment!  I'd love to have you visit and see my studio and also my paintings, many of which decorate the studio and feature southwest landscapes.  You can see (and purchase!) many of the paintings I made at Grand Canyon and Zion National Parks, Sedona, Arizona, as well as more local scenery.  I've painted all over the Southwest--New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colorado--as well as California.

Tour the Artist's Studio

Pumphouse Studio Gallery is open by appointment.  You can visit the studio of Michael Chesley Johnson, and he'll gladly talk to you about his process for oil and pastel painting whether in the studio or out on location, en plein air.  Also, you can view dozens of his oil and pastel paintings, many of which have not been exhibited before.  Or, talk to Michael about a commission!  If you have a favorite view, let him know.

Three Pieces for the Sedona Area Guild of Artists Exhibition

I will have three pieces in the upcoming SAGA show (Sedona Area Guild of Artists.)  The show runs from November 15 to December 5, with an opening reception on Saturday, November 16, from 5-8 pm:

Show Dates: Friday, November 15 to Thursday, December 5, 2013
At the Old Marketplace: 1370 West SR 89A in Sedona, Arizona

Show will be open Tuesday-Thursday from 12-5 pm and on Friday and Saturday from 12-8 pm. (Closed on Mondays and Thanksgiving Day.)
